Portobello
building our community
Portobello Community Inc

Portobello Inc was formed a number of years ago as an informal community organisation under the auspices of the DCC’s Main Streets programme.  Although it operated under this name, it was not legally incorporated.

The organisation has been successful in achieving improvements in the Portobello village over the years, however many issues are still of concern to the community.

Portobello Community Inc was formally established under the Incorporated Societies Act in September 2003.

Portobello Community Inc stands for:

  • A vibrant, artistic, family-friendly community with quality amenities & facilities for residents & visitors
  • A strong community spirit

We produce a community newsletter and have organised a number of community events including Christmas parties and guided walks.
