Mayor Peter Chin launches Playground boat

Portobello Community Inc. raised funds for the construction of a unique boat playground structure in Latham Park in Portobello on the Otago Peninsula.

We raised just over $72,000 which is the full funds required for the project. You can read about the project on these pages and learn how you can make a donation. Any additional funds raised will be used to enhance the project or for other playground improvements.

The project has strong community support. The playground development combined with other work carried out by the Dunedin City Council (DCC) in Latham Park has provided a focal point for not only the community but for the many thousands of visitors to the Otago Peninsula who pass through Portobello each year.
